Barry’s Bootcamp Bash

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Barry’s Bootcamp on a few projects. Their 2025 Annual Summit was hosted right here in Chicago, which gave me the chance to capture both photo and video recaps. It was refreshing to marry my experience between produced fitness shoots with candid experiential capture. One informs the other and allows me to snap key moments with an artistic touch that authentically covers the experience of the day.

2 weeks later I got a callback about doing a more produced shoot with their Wicker Park location. This was a challenge to test my abilities in the legendary “Red Room.” I put a little more effort into the pre-production of this shoot than my typical ones. Through some powerful 3D software, I was able to map out my exact lighting plans for a room covered in mirrors and red LEDs. This allowed me a clean result on the subjects while still incorporating that signature red accent.
